Brown Trucking Company was founded by James W. Brown in 1976 in Lithonia, Georgia. Originally known as James Brown Contracting, Inc. the company only operated using 4 trucks during its establishment. Although the company was officially started in 1976, Mr. Brown had began working in West Virginia with a dump truck in the mid-1960s.

For several years, the company only handed flatbed freights. It was only in the early 1980s that Brown Trucking started to assume private fleet operation, hauling corrugated containers in trailer vans. As its reputation quickly spread, the company soon grew to become a double-digit rate within the next 10 years. Today, Brown Trucking Co. is the leading southeast regional carrier of paper and packaging, and is one of the recognized leaders in the trucking industry.

The Brown Trucking team is fully committed to providing exceptional on-time services, value added options, transportation solutions that every client is sure to require and expect. The company is able to relieve the customers of the shipping costs, risks, liabilities, and the headaches of load planning, scheduling, and managing drivers and equipment by being able to provide guaranteed cargo capacity, distributed trailer pools, and quality assurance. The company’s fleet of trucks are equipped with satellite tracking, which enables clients to monitor where their cargos are in real-time.

Over the years, the company was transformed into Brown Integrated Logistics through its subsidiaries Brown Logistics Services, West Logistics, Brown Fleet Services, and Brown Trucking. As it continues to grow, the company still strives to ensure that they provide world-class logistics services.
